Historic Market Town of Holsworthy Holsworthy is a historic market town with hundreds of years of history and is mentioned in the Domesday Book. Holsworthy is renowned for its thriving outdoor Pannier Market that is held in the square every Wednesday, along with one of the largest weekly Cattle Markets in the South West..
Many of the shops in Holsworthy are owned and run by local residents, most of which are located in and around the Town Square, they offer a wide range of goods and cater for most needs. The town also boasts two Supermarkets, Waitrose and CO-OP, as well as a factory outlet shop
The town has a number of traditional pubs and inns, including the CAMRA Pub of the year for 2011, together with a good selection of restaurants and cafes, many featuring delicious local produce.
